Guardian Removable Pool Fence Systems, Inc., is the only manufacturer of removable mesh fencing to have the ORIGINAL PATENTED self-closing gate specifically designed and engineered to operate with a removable mesh fencing system.
Because this type of fence operates on tension, the mesh fabric is tighter in colder weather and loses some tension in warmer weather. Engineers told us that a conventional single pole designed gate would require constant adjustment. Removing a single pole gate for a party and then having to re-install it afterwards compounded the problem of a potential gate failure. The gate is the most important part of any fence system! We had to know our gate would close each time. Our double-pole truss on both sides of the gate allows for tension fluctuations without the need for adjustments. The fabric tension is not a factor in the operation of our gate. We also designed this gate without a top cross-bar, making it very difficult for toddlers to climb because there's nothing rigid to hold on to!
The latch we selected for our gate system is made in Australia. The manufacturer promotes this latch as "The World's Safest Pool Gate Latch." We agree completely.
Nothing we have seen in latching systems comes close to the sophisticated operation in this latch. This key-lockable latch is magnetic and non mechanical. It won the Silver Medal in 1992 at the International Inventors Convention in Geneva, Switzerland and won the Australian Design Award.
This latch also meets the Barrier Code requirements of the NSPI and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The tension adjustable hinges, made by the same company, also won the Australian Design Award. Without these parts we might never have built this gate.
When the Magna-Latch and the tension adjustable hinges are used with our PATENTED gate design, we believe no other system on the market today offers the level of Safety, Versatility, Practicality and Protection that this system provides.
Pool Fence Specifications
The location of your fence should be determined by your backyard layout with consideration given to usage patterns and risk areas. The safest fences are those which are installed to isolate just the swimming pool.
If the location of your barrier must be used as a "pass-through barrier" rather than an "isolation barrier", we strongly recommend using our PATENTED Self-Closing Removable Gate System for optimum safety.
All Guardian fences can be removed in minutes by an adult. The sections roll up into small bundles for ease of handling and compact storage. Color cordinated deck caps are provided to cover the holes left in the deck when the fence is not in use.
SELF CLOSING GATE:
Galvanized steel frame coated in plastic with matching colors to complement our fencing system available in BLACK, GREEN, BROWN, GRAY and BEIGE. The trusses and the “U” shaped gate are just two of the 19 different claims on our gate that are protected by US Patent #5,664,769. The lack of a top crossbar on our gate makes it extremely difficult for a child to climb any portion of our fence or gate because there is nothing rigid for them to grab and support themselves. This gate is self latching, key lockable and REMOVABLE
GATE HARDWARE:
Latch: The ONLY latch we use is MAGNA LATCH. It operates magnetically and is key lockable. Every gate we have shipped since we went into production in 1996 used MAGNA LATCH for its latching mechanism.
HINGES:
The same company that produces the MAGNA LATCH produces the TRU-CLOSE hinges. These hinges are tension adjustable and are built with Stainless steel springs.
POLES:
All poles are constructed with T6 marine grade aluminum and are internally reinforced from top to bottom with a tri-core design. Our poles are available in powercoated colors of BLACK, GREEN, BROWN, GRAY and BEIGE or in a silver colored MILLFINISH
POLE SPACING:
Our four foot high fence is available with either 30” or 36” pole spacing. The five foot high fencing is only available in 30” pole spacing.
FABRICS:
Our exclusive INTERLOCKING mesh is the strongest and most transparent mesh available anywhere. This mesh is available in BLACK, GREEN, BROWN or BEIGE. Our standard fabric, we call GUARDTEX. Themesh is available from stock in BLACK only. Other colors are available for bulk purchases.
LOCKING MECHANISMS:
Hooks and Eyes: All hooks and eyes are made from stainless steel.
Installations with dark colored poles use BLACK TEFLON coated stainless Steel hooks and eyes. Padlocks: All padlocks are solid brass including the hasp. These padlocks can be used to prevent unauthorized removal of the fence.
HEIGHTS:
4 foot or 5 foot heights. (4 foot high fence is the minimum height recommended by the U.S.C.P.S.C.)

Non- conductive polypropylene sleeves.
SCREWS:
All SCREWS are STAINLESS STEEL The GUARDIAN Removable fencing system with our patented self closing gate has been approved by the State of Florida for their swimming pool barrier codes and has been tested and approved by LNE in France to meet French fencing regulations for swimming pool barriers.
